Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Doci: PDF Scan & Convert ("Doci", "the app", "we", "us") handles your information. Doci is developed by Oussama Naser. Short version: your documents stay on your device, and we don't sell or share your data.

1. Your documents and scans

Everything you scan, import, edit, sign, or convert in Doci — including photos, PDFs, Word files, signatures, and text recognized by OCR — is processed on your device. We do not upload, view, store, or have access to your documents. Text recognition uses Apple's on-device frameworks.

If you choose to share or export a file (for example to Files, iCloud Drive, Mail, or another app), that transfer is handled by iOS and the destination you pick, and is subject to that service's privacy policy.

2. Camera and photo access

• Camera: used only to scan documents when you open the scanner.
• Photo Library: used only when you choose to import images or save exported images.

You can change these permissions at any time in iPhone Settings → Doci.

3. Information we collect

We do not require an account and we do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, or document content. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Apple may provide us with anonymous, aggregated statistics (such as crash reports and App Store analytics) if you have agreed to share them with developers in your device settings. This data does not identify you.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. Apple only tells the app whether your subscription is active so we can unlock premium features.

5. If you contact us

If you email us for support, we'll receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and delete it when it's no longer needed.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties.

7. Data retention and deletion

Your documents live on your device until you delete them. Deleting the app removes all of its locally stored data. Files you exported to other locations (such as iCloud Drive) must be deleted there.

8. Children's privacy

Doci is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your rights

Because we don't hold personal data about you, there's usually nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold information about you (for example, a support email), contact us and we'll help — including under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable laws.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
